Ada Meher is partnering with a SaaS company based in Sheffield who are looking for a Web Development Manager, with a background in PHP (Laravel) & Typescript (Vue), to join their multi-disciplined & distributed engineering team working on their suite of software products. They are in the process of modernising their existing codebase to avoid technical debt, as well as developing new key features and products, and are looking for a candidate to manage a team of 8 Developers to help realise this.
The tech stack used in the Web Team comprises of a PHP/Laravel backend, with Typescript and Vue on the frontend and a MySQL database which is all deployed to AWS. Whilst the ideal candidate will come from this background there is no need for experience in all these areas, as the main focus of the role will be in the running of the team. Responsibilities will span from resource planning, leading agile ceremonies & general mentoring/code reviews to challenging the status quo and motivating a small team to change and improve processes and standards.

To Be Considered:
- A working history in PHP/JavaScript Web Development
- Experience leading a small team in an Agile environment
- Strong experience in TDD / Unit Testing strategies
- Knowledge of Microservice architectures
- Experience with AWS would be a benefit
