Job Role: Warehouse General Manager Open 24hrs Monday to Friday & 06:00hrs to 18:00hrs on weekends Description: To help set the strategy, structure & budget of the Heathrow warehouse operation and coordinate our warehouse operations at Heathrow to meet import, export, and any external customer requirements for the handling, storage and transportation of goods. Ensuring that we meet all regulatory responsibilities to maintain a safe working environment for our staff. General Responsibilties: To regularly review transport procedures to manage on site drivers & vehicles and to ensure these are enforced. To plan the use and priorities of LHR based vehicles for airline & customer collections and deliveries. To coordinate with UK transport team on the planning of collections and deliveries of air freight and other modes moving via West London Hub at LHR. To coordinate with Supervisors to ensure that transport plans are executed, with the provision of individual vehicle manifest and timelines. To develop relationships with transit shed operators (TSOs) to minimize the waiting times experienced by our collecting or delivering vehicles. To administer the operation of the ETSF facility in line with HMRC rules and the Company SOP. Paying attention to operating times, record creation, status 1 timelines & the correct release of cargo from bond, record keeping with attention to filing all custom documents in respective files on receipt and keeping filing up to date. To ensure that bond checks are conducted on a weekly basis, reviewed for any glaring anomalies, and shared with the air freight operational teams. At the same time reviewing un-cleared consignments held within the ETSF which may be nearing the maximum approved timelines. To manage the return of ULDs to avoid demurrage Ensure direct reports, warehouse teams and drivers are all clear on their days expectations and priorities, including shift handover responsibilities. To maintain records on any general storage business held within the warehouse and coordinate with clients on the receipt and release as required. To ensure that all sales invoices for handling, screening, storage and transport are raised weekly, or in line with any agreed customer requirements if different.
