Successful candidates will have the opportunity to complete the Children and Young People Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (CYP-IAPT) training at Northampton University. The aims of this programme are aligned to the aims of NHS England and the UK Government’s Improving Access to Psychology Therapies (IAPT) for Children and Young People project (CYP IAPT).
During the first year, your time will be split between clinical work, attending your training institution, and completing supervision.
After successful completion of the course, you will then be able to work as a Children and Young People’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CYPWP) for Relate.
CYPWPs support children and young people by delivering low intensity psychological treatments which place a greater emphasis on parent and CYPWP self-management.
