Job Description Cloud Applications Architect Description In this role you will be a member of the UK Applications Architect team, driving delivery of value to UKI based customers focused on business-driven architectures to support enterprise-wide applications solutions. - To operate at account level advising beyond a single opportunity in building an applications architecture strategy that delivers on the customer's long-term goals and operating business objectives. - To collaborate with other pre-selling and consulting architects, providing the end-to-end application solution architecture for large-scale transformational solutions such as global finance, HR, customer experience and supply chain solutions; complete customer solutions that combine Industry solutions and cross application products; and, application / technology solutions for supporting a customer moving to the cloud. - The common threads are the overall complexity; the significant business transformation impact; the use of Cloud; and the cross-pillar/cross-Line of Business (LoB) nature of the solution. In these complex solutions, you will work with other LoB architects to build a complete high-level architecture design, business capability roadmap and the migration steps necessary to deliver success to deliver business change. - In the strategic aspect of the relationship, the Cloud Applications Architect shall work closely with the customer at very senior level within the customer organisation - typically, C-Suite and IT Leaders to build a strong strategic architecture. This is a longer, more permanent relationship both with the customer and with the broad internal account team. This is realised through regular and frequent meetings with the customer - for example within the construct of an architecture board. The aspiration is to build sufficient trust with the customer such that Oracle's products are considered at the earliest point of the customer's decision making. - The Cloud Applications Architect will lead on architecture re-use through the capture of these large-scale architecture designs and their evangelising within Oracle. This includes not only direct re-use in future architecture opportunities, but also the use of those solutions in business development, services proposition development, future product direction. Responsibilities: - Extensive background as (Lead) Applications Architect or IT Business Partner - Proven expertise in SaaS (e.g., ERP, EPM, HCM, CX and SCM), with understanding of PaaS, IaaS and Digital - Extensive experience of applicable architectures / processes across a wide range of industries e.g., Financial Services, Telecommunications, Retail, Utilities etc - Holistic knowledge of Cloud solutions and respective use-cases - Knowledge of Oracle solutions - Significant C-level presentation and consultative selling experience - Flexible to travel across the region - Wide background including architecture, implementation and delivery of large-scale software systems in real-world situations. - Wide knowledge of IT Applications market and trends. - Knowledge of full Oracle stack (ideally). Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions.
