You will be responsible for taking blood samples from patients who attend these centres which presently include Sir Robert Peel Hospital, Tamworth. There will be an expectation that you would also be available to work at any of our other sites including the wards at Florence Nightingale and Royal Derby Hospital as and when required.
We have full-time and part-time positions and the Centres will open Monday to Sunday (7 days a week) from 7 am until 7 pm.

You must be a car user and have business insurance, please ensure that you mark on your application that you have got a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Main duties of the job
You will work on your own initiative organising your daily workload to achieve departmental test turnaround standards, responding to situations that could affect the quality and timeliness of test results and their reporting. You will assist senior staff with audits and data collection and will ensure the most cost-effective use of equipment and assist with stock control.
You should have a flexible approach to working and possess excellent communication skills being able to respond to enquiries from users and patients whilst maintaining confidentiality. It is essential that you have a caring and empathetic nature and have clear legible handwriting. You should also have basic IT skills.
Demonstrable experience of working in a care environment or customer service role would also be preferable.
