Health Care Assistant, Band 2. Fixed Term for 6 months.
A fantastic opportunity has become available to work on the Coronary Care Unit.
The Coronary Care Unit is an 8-bedded unit, caring for a mix of cardiology and medical patients.

The essential criteria for this role includes the requirement to have a care certificate or the willingness and ability to undertake this.
Main duties of the job
The role of the Health Care Assistant (HCA) in the department is to assist the registered nurses (or other healthcare practitioners) in providing high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include:
1. Maintaining patients' privacy and dignity at all times.
2. Providing care in a compassionate and sensitive manner.
3. Being an effective part of the multi-disciplinary team contributing to departmental objectives.
4. Continuing to develop and maintain competencies in nursing tasks to ensure high-quality safe care.

* National Care Certificate or commitment to complete as part of induction process
* NVQ 2 in care (willingness to complete within one year of start date) or equivalent experience
