We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Quality Team Leader with Health and Safety experience to join our client's team in the steel industry. Our client is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for their employees and ensuring compliance with quality and environmental standards.
The role will involve Quality & H&S responsibilities. The person will be expected to run and maintain ISO 9001 standards, carry out root cause analysis, and respond to both internal and external N.C.R.s. Responsibilities also include carrying out continuous improvement plans while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, supervising customer and internal audits, and maintaining all relevant paperwork ready for submission.
Mission
Manage the day-to-day routine and emerging work through the Quality team using established processes and procedures to perform checks and support the improvement of the company's product quality to the highest Environmental, Health, and Safety standards.
Accountabilities
1. Investigate customer complaints.
2. Request quality deviation evidence from customers for analysis against expected quality standards.
3. Analyse production records against customer complaints.
4. Conduct Symptoms Causes Remedies Actions investigation (SCRA) where deviations have occurred.
5. Coordinate with key stakeholders to resolve customer complaints.
6. Communicate full traceability and recommendations to the contracts team at the outcome of investigations.
7. Visit customers to conduct on-site investigations when appropriate.
8. Maintain compliance records.
9. Record investigation data within appropriate databases.
10. Gather traceability documentation for electronic storage.
11. Coordinate the distribution and calibration of measuring equipment.
12. Retain and store calibration certification.
13. Coordinate quality checks and third-party testing of material.
14. Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of functional professionals to ensure that the plant meets its established targets and standards.
15. Conduct interviews for internal and external candidates.
16. Complete induction, onboarding, and probationary reviews in a timely manner.
17. Evaluate individuals' performance and set objectives for the future.
18. Conduct performance reviews within timescales.
19. Manage poor performance, attendance, and timekeeping.
20. Conduct investigations, disciplinary, and grievance procedures in line with company policy.
21. Ensure HR and Payroll are provided with data and documentation as required.
22. Manage specific projects or undertake specific project activity as determined by the business or line manager.
23. Travel to specific locations in order to undertake role requirements as needed.
24. Represent your function or business at meetings or events as required.
25. Undertake any reasonable request to support the needs of the business.
