The Role: We’re seeking a compassionate, qualified Residential Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide support and care for our children and young people, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. Success in this position looks like fostering independence, building trusting relationships, and contributing to a vibrant, supportive community that embodies Educate Care’s values. Your work will play a pivotal role in the organisation, directly impacting the well-being and development of those in our care.
Responsibilities:
* Provide day-to-day support tailored to each child and young person’s individual needs, promoting independence and well-being.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all residents.
* Assist with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and recreational programs.
* Build strong, respectful relationships with residents, their families, and external professionals.
* Monitor and document residents' progress, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
* Respond to challenges with empathy, patience, and resilience, while maintaining professional boundaries.
* Contribute to team discussions and initiatives, supporting continuous improvement in care delivery.
Qualifications:
* Experience: Prior experience working in residential care or a similar setting is essential.
* Education: Relevant qualifications in Health & Social Care (Level 3 or equivalent).
* Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Certifications: First Aid certification is desirable; mandatory training will be provided.
