Based within the Council’s Occupational Safety & Wellbeing Team you will be involved in monitoring health and safety performance through a programme of audits, inspections and visits. The role provides support to Services across the Council with regards to areas such as risk assessment and solution based guidance on safety and wellbeing matters.
You will be required to undertake incident investigations as directed, producing written reports for both this and other health and safety issues as well as assisting with the delivery of health and safety training courses.
The holder of this role will be involved in participating in progressing the wellbeing programme for the Council as well as work relating to wellbeing initiatives.
You will be required to undertake work in a manner which promotes a positive safety and wellbeing culture.
Applicants for this post should be educated to Nebosh Certificate level or equivalent appropriate professional qualification and have moderate relevant experience in an operational health and safety setting.
The post seeks applicants who are enthusiastic and adaptable with a proactive and client focused approach.
You will be required to travel throughout the North Lanarkshire area.
