About the job We are looking for a Core Services Assistant to join our Core Services team in Manchester city centre. Our Core Services team act as a bridge between internal colleagues and external partners, they resolve payment queries, address discrepancies, and foster strong, trusted relationships. You will be responsible for supporting efficient and accurate transactional processing for Auto Trader. Your key areas of focus will involve the processing & payment of invoices, answering supplier queries, assisting internal staff with payment queries such as purchase orders and the maintenance of bank accounts. The role is heavily process driven and you will be working to daily, weekly and monthly deadlines so it’s important that you enjoy an ever-changing workload and can manage numerous tasks simultaneously As a Finance Assistant, you’ll enjoy a role that’s both people-focused and process-driven. As you’ll interact frequently with colleagues and suppliers, excellent customer service skills are a must. The team also monitor a messaging channel for colleague queries so it's important to be able to communicate processes and procedures in a way that is easy to understand. What we're looking for Experience with transactional finance processes Experience in Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable is preferable Great organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask Ability to prioritise enabling you to meet strict deadlines Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Ability to build and develop positive relationships particularly by phone and by email.
