About the Role:
A highly reputable secondary school in Lambeth is seeking a well-qualified and enthusiastic History Teacher to join their successful History department on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator to contribute to a dynamic learning environment and inspire students in KS3 and KS4. Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging and effective History lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
2. Develop and implement differentiated learning activities that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
3. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
4. Contribute to the development and improvement of the History curriculum.
5. Maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment.
6. Collaborate with colleagues and participate in departmental meetings and activities.
Candidate Requirements:
1. A Bachelor's degree in History or a related field.
2. A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
3. A strong understanding of the National Curriculum for History.
4. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.
5. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and engage students.
