Responsibilities:
1. Provide and maintain service excellence to customers, demonstrating professionalism and courtesy.
2. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies, ISO13485, ISO17025, EUGMP, and accreditation requirements in the laboratory.
3. Maintain accurate records of all quality tests performed and uphold quality standards as per controlled laboratory and QA procedures.
4. Assist in the day-to-day organization of work in the microbiology unit to meet departmental and customer needs.
5. Clean and wash laboratory glassware; prepare and sterilize laboratory media.
6. Perform microbiological techniques on customer products and other samples, including microbiological identifications, culture preparation, LAL Endotoxin testing, bioburden testing, environmental monitoring, biological indicator testing, product inoculations, and sterility testing.
7. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including autoclaves, water generation systems, balances, incubators, and other necessary apparatus.
8. Organize the environmental monitoring program and check environmental conditions within the laboratory, including customer visits.
9. Clean general laboratory areas, test rooms, and cleanrooms.
10. Dispose of laboratory waste generated during duties.
11. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a courteous and professional manner.
12. Manage stock control in collaboration with other laboratory staff.
13. Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment.
14. Attend relevant courses and training as required.
15. Familiarize with the microbiological work carried out in the laboratory.
16. Undertake any other duties as necessary to provide quality assured service.
Minimum Requirements:
Sound knowledge of general microbiology techniques; a minimum of 1 year laboratory experience or otherwise deemed appropriate competency.
