Production Supervisor
Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum
Monday - Friday: DAYS: 42.5 hours per week

Our client in Coventry is recruiting for a Production Supervisor within their manufacturing facility. The role will involve supervising and managing a team whilst providing guidance, support, and enhancing performance. This role could provide progression opportunities for the right individual.
Job Description:
1. Developing and implementing efficient processes to streamline operations and enhance overall productivity.
2. Monitor and optimise production to minimise downtime and reduce costs.
3. Ensure adherence to safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
4. Conduct regular safety training sessions and audits to mitigate risks and maintain a secure working environment.
5. Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure an adequate and well-maintained machine.
6. Manage inventory levels of supplies to minimise disruptions in operations.
7. Implement performance metrics and KPIs to assess the efficiency of employees.
8. Analyse data and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
9. Facilitate effective communication between the shop floor team and other relevant departments, such as warehousing, production, and maintenance.
10. Collaborate with stakeholders to address and resolve any issues impacting production.
11. Start the day with a brief team meeting to discuss the day's priorities, goals, and any important updates.
12. Address any immediate concerns or issues raised by team members.
13. With the support of the HR department, deal with any HR-related matters, such as performance and conduct reviews.
14. Collaborate with the operations manager on recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning as needed.
15. Conduct 1:1 meetings.
Essential Qualifications / Experience:
1. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve production targets.
2. Experience in implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
3. Strong ability to work towards and meet key production targets under tight deadlines.
4. Proficiency in monitoring KPIs and ensuring team alignment with business objectives.
5. Comprehensive knowledge of workplace safety regulations.
6. Experience managing resources such as raw materials, tools, and equipment efficiently.
Desirable Qualifications / Experience:
1. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
2. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to monitor production performance.
