About the Role
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager for our popular Pub, Hams Hame!
Hams Hame is nestled beneath the iconic Hamilton Grand building, next to the 18th green of the world’s most famous golf course.
Hams Hame Pub & Grill is a fabulous venue offering outstanding Scottish cuisine that showcases the best ingredients in an informal setting, where you can also watch sport on TV. Hams Hame is also the perfect place to stop and sample the heart-warming selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolate - perfect for a pre-match warmer or after a blast on West Sands Beach!
This is an amazing opportunity for the right candidate who has bar or restaurant experience.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Delivering exceptional customer service to all customers.
2. Ensure the cleanliness of the outlet, before, during and after service by ensuring they are in accordance with the standards of practice.
3. Forecasting for staffing requirements, ensuring staff volumes are adequate.
4. Maintaining high standards of performance via appraisals and personal development plans.
5. Development of your team to push our culture and provide world-class service to our guests.
6. Be present at regular departmental training sessions, pre-service meetings and operational meetings.
About You:
You will be an enthusiastic and engaged leader, with a background in fast-paced hospitality who has a passion for training and developing your team.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Experience of at least 1 year in an Assistant Manager role OR 2 years in a Supervisor role within food & beverage, ideally in a fast paced bar or pub.
2. Basic knowledge of wine, beer and cocktails.
3. Previous experience of training and developing a team.
4. A Personal Licence, or be able to obtain one within 3 months.
5. Experience of scheduling staff rotas.
6. Experience of leading stock checks and completing orders in a timely manner whilst building relationships with your suppliers.
7. The ability to run the outlet in the absence of the manager.
Hours:
Full Time, 40 hours over 5 days. Includes weekends and evenings.
