Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant

Salary: £12.90 - £14.50 Per hour
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team in Ormskirk, Lancashire. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs in their educational development. Your role will be crucial in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Job Duties:
Provide one-to-one support to students with SEMH needs
Assist in the implementation of individual education plans
Support the class teacher in managing student behaviour
Help students develop social and emotional skills
Contribute to creating a safe and nurturing learning environment
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Demonstrated understanding of SEMH and its impact on learning
Experience in implementing behaviour management strategies
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
Level 2 Safeguarding training
Additional training in supporting students with SEMH needs
Working Conditions:
Temporary position with Full-Time hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
