Our Site Operations and Driving teams play a vital role across our business. Main purpose of the role To provide a comprehensive security service (with the assistance of 3rd party security provider) for the auction centre to prevent any breaches of security. Supervising the continuation of delivery and exit of vendor/buyer stock from site. Main responsibilities: - Provide security for the auction centre to ensure that a visible security presence is noted by all staff and visitors to the site with the aim of preventing any theft or damage to vehicles or property as well as preventing and deterring violent behaviour or any other criminal activity. - Audit security of site through spot checks and other appropriate means to ensure that the company standards are met at all times. Be responsible for the direct supervision of BCA staff as well as directing subcontracted Security Staff in their duties. - Provide regular and adhoc reports an updates on site security to ensure that branch Management are kept informed of issues and status. Have regular contact with the Branch Security Team Leader in relation to your duties and liaise closely with him about security issues as they develop. - Undertake crossfunctional tasks in the Facilities & Safety department to enable the smooth running of the auction centre, after consultation with the Site Security Team Leader or, if he is unavailable, the Facilities & Safety Manager, for approval and only in exceptional circumstances. - Action any issues, queries or complaints so that problems are resolved, in a timely fashion, to all parties’ satisfaction as far as is reasonably practicable. Escalate any complex issues to the relevant Team Leader / Manager. - Undertake adhoc tasks as necessary to meet the business needs for your own development. To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you: - Previous security experience - Staff supervisory experience - 3rd Party subcontractor supervisory experience. - Full Driving Licence.
