Apprentice Finance Assistant - Level 2
As a Finance Assistant Apprentice you will acquire the following key skills:-
1. Record transactional data.
2. Use Steer's standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as, reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
3. Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
4. Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
5. Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.
6. Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
7. Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.

To start an apprenticeship with us, you need to:
19. Be at least 16 years old
20. Be willing to work Monday to Friday 8am – 4.30pm
21. Be prepared to commit to your apprenticeship for 3 years
22. Grade 4 or above in Maths and English or Functional Skills Level 2
You will:
23. Work five days a week
24. Be provided with a uniform, starter kit, health & wellbeing support, and an experienced mentor
25. Complete on-line e-learning where applicable
Level 2 - 12 months
All applicants, including adult candidates over the age of 19 will be required to undertake an assessment in English and maths prior to enrolling.
You MUST have a Grade 4 or above in both English and Maths to be able to apply.
