We are seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our Facilities team as a Facilities Assistant. In this role, you will work closely with the ward and departmental teams to support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. With a flexible approach, you'll be responsible for a variety of catering and cleaning tasks, playing an essential part in enhancing the patient experience.
22.5 hours per week - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 7am to 3pm & 10am to 6pm

Main duties of the job
Catering Duties:
* Prepare, serve, and deliver meals for inpatients, ensuring food safety and strict adherence to hygiene policies, including HACCP standards.
* Assist with the preparation of salads, sandwiches, and other food items as needed.
* Ensure patient meals are organised, prepared, and placed in ward trolleys at the correct time for service.
* Clean, collect, and return all crockery, cutlery, and water jugs as required.
Cleaning Duties:
* Clean and sanitise surfaces, floors, glass, ledges, and all sanitary areas to NHS standards.
* Empty, clean, and replenish waste bins; follow appropriate waste disposal procedures.
* Maintain and clean equipment, ensuring it is in safe and serviceable condition.
* Replace bed linens and consumables (paper towels, soap, toilet rolls) as needed to keep patient areas well-stocked and comfortable.
