JOB DESCRIPTION LINCOLNSHIRE, IL JOB TITLE: OUTSIDE SERVICE-RANGERS JOB ACCOUNT : 64122041 DEPARTMENT: GOLF REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF GOLF ISSUE DATE: JANUARY 1, 2017 Pay Range: $15.00 Part Time Benefits: Employee Discount Marriott Travel Discount Paid Time Off - Sick PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GOALS Perform highest level of customer service to Crane’s Landing customers. Make sure players begin play at their assigned tee time and monitor/maintain pace of play around the course. Treat guests & fellow associates with respect and friendliness at all times. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned): Customer Service: • Address and report any safety issues immediately. • Acknowledge and greet customers with a smile and in a friendly manner • Know and conduct yourself with proper golf etiquette • Be sensitive to the customer's need and make eye contact • Be familiar with problem solving alternatives and reporting procedures • Call customers by their name whenever you know it General Duties: • Address and report any safety issues immediately. • Report to golf shop and review the day’s tee sheet. • Starter will be stationed at first tee and ensure that players start at their assigned time. • Provide information regarding the course, pace of play expectations, and other rules. • Make rounds driving the course to monitor players are remaining in their assigned groups, keeping their order, and playing in a timely fashion. • Remind players who violate course rules of expected conduct. Report any issues to the golf shop staff. Miscellaneous Duties: • Maintenance/cleanliness of parking lot/outside clubhouse. • Change/fill water in coolers on course. • Organizing and staging pull-carts • Be available to contribute to team as needed. Other contributions to Team as necessary. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES – not applicable EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience LANGUAGE SKILLS May be required: to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; to write simple correspondence; to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS May be required: to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. REASONING ABILITY May be called upon: to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- and two-step instructions; to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid Driver’s License. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Frequently walks, talks or hears. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, and stoops. Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds. HOURS Due to the business demands of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the Resort provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and/or overtime.
