Job Description
JOB TITLE: Relationship Manager, Trading Sectors
LOCATION: Plymouth
SALARY: £57,546 to £63,940
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, at our Plymouth office. The Client Portfolio for this role is predominantly based around Plymouth although there would also be an expectation to travel further afield to meet clients across Devon and occasionally into East Cornwall.
About this opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Relationship Manager to join our Trading sectors team in Plymouth as part of the wider Devon and Cornwall team. You'll support a portfolio of SME clients with all their banking needs including lending, deposits, and a wide range of other services. You’ll deliver a great client experience and be the “go to” banker in your geographic area, maintaining a high profile with external influencers and the local business community to achieve the Bank’s aim of being the best bank for clients.
Your accountabilities will include:
* Growing income, balance sheet and client numbers, whilst also managing any associated risks.
* Managing a portfolio of client relationships, typically interacting with Directors and Owner Managers.
* Identifying client needs and developing client strategies to meet those needs, leveraging product, coverage and support teams where relevant. Undertaking lending assessments and implementing appropriate client solutions.
* Ensuring the balance between risk and reward is effectively managed ensuring that all lending and contingent liabilities meet the Bank’s asset quality and policy requirements.
* Positively promoting the Bank’s image and working closely with Business Development, Product Partners and others to develop new business opportunities.
* Ensuring activities align with internal and external polices (including credit), asset quality, standards, reporting, legal, statutory and/or regulatory requirements.
What we need from you?
* Previous banking experience with a proven track record delivering results.
* Highly proficient at building and maintaining positive relationships with external professionals.
* Ability to deliver excellent client experiences whilst identifying ways to grow income, balance sheet and market share and handling associated risks.
* Confident at promoting the bank’s image through strong ethics & integrity across a range of clients, prospects & professionals.
