Strategic Project Manager - Drainage and Waste Water
Location: Buttershaw / Hybrid Working (2-3 days office a week - Bradford)
Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Project Manager to join the Drainage and Wastewater team within Strategy & Regulation team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Working in the Drainage and Wastewater Team, the Strategic Project Manager will be accountable for planning and scheduling the delivery of the team's three core statutory functions: Drainage and Wastewater Management Plans (DWMPs), hydraulic sewer modelling, and environmental water quality modelling.
Where you fit in:
As our Strategic Project Manager you will:
* Create, manage, and revise project plans for the DWMP and the Drainage and Wastewater Team's statutory WINEP investigation requirements.
* Be accountable for day-to-day scheduling and coordination of project plans including implementation of project lifecycle governance.
* Engage regularly with the Drainage and Wastewater Team's managers to proactively manage and escalate risks, key decisions, and maintain momentum on project progression.
* Be accountable for accurate reporting of key project information, updating agreed project reports and documentation, and feeding into required project/steering groups.
* Support the coordination of governance structures including internal steering groups.
* Manage key stakeholders and ensure effective communication plans are in place.
* Liaise with our contract partners to ensure deliverables are on track for required timelines.
* Promote innovative ideas and drive project opportunities through collaboration.
* Drive excellent standards and performance in health and safety and wellbeing, risk management and ensure compliance with the Yorkshire Water Safety Policy.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
* Experience in developing and managing project plans; including managing projects to time, cost and quality targets.
* APM (PMQ) accredited (or a willing to work towards this).
* An effective decision maker, with experience and knowledge of project implementation and cultural change.
* Experience of compiling, assessing, interpretation and communication of data and information, including the ability to clearly present key items and risks at all levels.
* Effective communication skills, able to communicate and influence across the business and at all levels.
* Experience in both internal and external stakeholder management experience.
* Capable of identifying project risks, acting on those issues and working with colleagues to find a solution.
* Advanced user of Microsoft Office packages - Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Word.
* Willing to work from various sites as the work demands.
You will also benefit from having:
* Knowledge of the Regulatory framework and legislation relevant to the Water Industry.
* Specific knowledge of the wastewater environment and potential future pressures.
* Previous experience gained within the water/wastewater sectors or within the broader utilities sectors.
* Experience of enabling and embedding change, able to influence and drive right culture and behaviours.
* Experience of delivering training/coaching/facilitation in a project environment.
* IT literate with various software e.g., Geographic Information Systems (Odyssey), SAP S4, EDMS, AI2 etc.
