This post could be for you.HMP Cardiff is a category B remand prison, with an operational capacity of around 800. The prison islocated in the centre of Cardiff, with good transport links.You will be based within the Pharmacy department at HMP Cardiff and will work with the multidisciplinary team to be involved in the development and implementation of new pharmaceuticalservices to prisoners. You will be responsible for providing a clinical pharmacy service to the prison,ensuring high quality, safe and effective use of medicines. You will have an opportunity to make adifference to the men who present with a wide range of chronic mental and physical healthproblems, including substance misuse.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will ensure that the pharmaceutical care of patients are met and that medicines management standards are upheld. The main duties of the job include;
* Pharmacy led clinics
* Promoting evidence based prescribing
* Provide professional cover to the dispensary
* Supervise and support pharmacy staff
* Clinical audits
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications
* MPharm or Msc pharmacy degree
Registration
* Registered as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Independent prescriber
Experience
* Supervisory or management experience
* Good knowledge of evidence based therapeutics
* Previous prison, mental health or substance misuse experience
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Motivated and able to work as part of a team
* Confident and calm
* Emotional resilience
