Responsibilities:
1. Ensure processes needed for the QMS are established, implemented and maintained.
2. Responsible to stop processes and escalate at appropriate level in cases of non-conformities to quality.
3. Ensure product safety related identifications and requirements are fulfilled.
4. Report the performance of the QMS timely to the Plant Manager and Corporate Quality Management.
5. Ensure that for all employees all HR development requirements and activities are in place and gaps closed.
6. Ensure that Customer's and Kautex' requirements are addressed and satisfied.
7. Manage quality-related issues with customers and suppliers.
8. Act as the appointed Management and Customer Representative for Quality Management at Plant level (which includes all customer specific automotive certification, IATF 16949, & CSR).
9. Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws, government regulations and internal guidelines.
10. Ensure the implementation of adequate preventive and evaluation tools, e.g.: Product inspection and testing, FMEA, Poka Yoke, etc.
11. Integrate Risk-Based-Thinking within department and throughout the organization.
12. Manage Non-Conforming Products and control the “Quarantine” area.
13. Maintain control of internal/external quality-related documents and records.
14. Ensure that all specific issues regarding EHS and quality are implemented and observed in line with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
15. Communicate and promote cooperation with all other Kautex Plants / Departments in order to share experiences and achieve quality targets.
16. Promote awareness of the importance of the key quality-related jobs.
17. Ensure knowledge about and compliance with Customer Specific Requirements throughout your team and if necessary define training measures.
18. Contribute and manage your teams contributions to the I AM with Eagle Eye, Hazard Hawk and Small Step Improvements and SUBO’s.
19. To ensure any Incident or Near Miss reports are actioned by their team, thorough root cause investigations are carried out and appropriate escalations for the JV partners are made.
20. Enforcing Stop-Call-Wait process is understood and followed.
21. Support, contribute and manage KUL EHS strategy to drive a safe culture.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree, Engineering or comparable education.
2. Experience Leading a team, and developing Talent.
3. 3 years professional experience in automotive industry is preferable.
4. Minimum of 5 years experience in quality related position.
5. Experience in negotiation with customers and suppliers.
6. Product knowledge is important.
7. Knowledge of applicable customer specific requirements.
8. Knowledge in statistics, FMEA, Control Plan APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, and product and process capability.
9. Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and business systems, e.g.: 5S, standardized work, and visual management.
