About the role: This is a key role within our internal Reward, Employee Relations and Performance (RERP) team, which provides expert reward support and guidance to the UK firm on internal reward policy and operations. The RERP team is an integral part of the firm’s People Function community, consisting of 25 members, including analysts, managers, and senior managers, all reporting to the RERP Director. The Compensation Senior Manager will report directly to the Reward and Performance Leader. The role requires a blend of reward expertise - particularly in employee pay, bonus strategy, policy, and execution - with effective stakeholder management skills. Responsibilities will encompass operational tasks, policy development, firmwide reward projects, as well as the annual salary review process. The successful candidate will also address complex day-to-day queries from the business regarding Reward as they arise. Strong analytical, written, and commercial acumen, along with experience managing a diverse range of stakeholders, is essential for this position. This business-oriented role is ideal for someone enthusiastic about honing their reward and project management skills within an operational setting. The successful candidate will have substantial experience in either a consultancy or corporate environment. What your day will look like: In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior leaders within the wider people function and across the business on comprehensive reward strategies associated with compensation projects. Your expertise will help guide the reward process, from strategy formulation to implementation. Y ou will manage complex stakeholder relationships with Line of Service Chief People Officers (CPOs), People Directors, and other key stakeholders within the People Function, facilitating informed decision-making around reward and compensation matters. O utside of the salary review period, you will have the chance to engage in firmwide reward-related initiatives, contributing to broader organizational projects that enhance our compensation offerings. You will leverage market insights and external best practices in reward management to continuously improve the people experience, ensuring our strategies remain competitive and effective. The role is for you if: You possess a proven track record of reward management experience at a Senior Manager level, showcasing strong technical expertise and a thorough understanding of best practices alongside commercial and business challenges. Your communication and influencing skills are exceptional. You can adapt your communication style to fluid and ambiguous environments, drafting concise written reports that clearly articulate key issues and decisions needed. You convey information effectively and adapt it to different audiences for maximum impact. You have the ability to interpret strategic direction and leverage it in shaping critical decisions made by the People Function leadership teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. You are proficient in using advanced data analytics tools such as Alteryx and Power BI. Your Excel skills are strong, enabling you to work effectively with large data sets, apply complex formulas, execute xlookups, and create insightful graphs and visualizations. Additionally, you have the ability to research various sources of information, summarize findings, and effectively communicate insights back to stakeholders. As a team player, you excel at quickly establishing mutually respectful and trusting relationships with colleagues. You’re also a self-starter, capable of working independently with minimal supervision. You maintain a proactive approach to problem-solving and project execution, contributing effectively to team objectives while driving your initiatives forward.
