We are committed to building a supportive and inclusive environment for all employees. This is an office-based position. As an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst at iPipeline, you take charge of developing new and existing data products that provide business insights to our customers, primarily using SQL and SSRS. Working as part of a scrum team, you are actively involved in the refining and planning of stories that are ready to be included in our sprint cycles, giving architectural opinions on how we can approach them (where required) and providing estimates to the Data Product Manager. During development you work on change requests or creating new products, ensuring that they meet the acceptance criteria. You then work with a tester to make sure the code is functioning correctly and meets our coding standards through a code review. In many cases you will liaise with other departments outside the scrum teams to confirm requirements or you require their input to complete the goal; this can include the Data Delivery team, DBAs (Database Administrators), Sales teams, or sometimes directly with the customer. Once code has been tested, you oversee its deployment, ensuring that affected parties have been notified and are expecting the change, and that the deployment won’t affect any currently running reports and processes. Where necessary, you create process notes and other supporting documentation. A Business Intelligence Analyst provides value to the company by: Creating new data products to be sold. Developing changes to existing products that provide additional insight to customers. Identifying and fixing bugs in our codebase and anomalies in the data. Decreasing runtimes and the strain on our servers. Improving processes used by the Data Delivery team. SQL code development. Knowledge of relational database design. SSRS report building. Knowledge of OFT principles. Ability to work with others. Excellent communication skills – including the ability to present complex technical specifications to non-technical users and stakeholders. Effective time management skills.
