Hunter James Recruitment are assisting our client - a well-established organisation with their search for a Health & Safety Advisor / Manager to join their busy facility in Slough.
Duties for the role will include:
1. The role will involve working in partnership with Senior Management and Specialist Managers within the team, providing support and driving high standards on site regarding Health & Safety.
2. Ensuring that all staff and management are regularly kept informed of all Health & Safety matters and also communicating all H&S requirements from the management team to all operational staff on site when required.
3. Provide guidance and advice on adherence to Health & Safety policies, legislation, and industry standards.
4. Support Management in the planning, implementation, and review of H & S requirements.
5. Create regular Health & Safety reports on site and present these to senior Management on site.
6. Advise on all health and safety competency and training requirements within the team and ensure the implementation of this training on site.
7. Be the point of contact and responsible for the investigation of accidents and incidents.
8. Ensure that all compliance/reporting is carried out in accordance with set company protocol and standards.
9. Support the management in the development of a Health & Safety conscious culture on site.
10. Develop strategies on site to continue developing this culture and ensure high H&S standards are always met.
11. Be the point of contact between all operational staff and Management for all H&S matters.
The Ideal Candidate will be…
1. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar Health & Safety Role (Can be either Management or Advisor level).
2. Possess the appropriate Health & Safety Qualifications including the NEBOSH Certificate.
3. Proven ability to create reports and present these to all levels of a business.
4. Excellent understanding of EHS processes, standards, and improvement techniques.
5. Good leadership, coaching, and influencing skills at all levels would be a distinct advantage.
6. Excellent communication skills with senior Management and director level.
