Reporting to the Home Manager, the Senior Carer with medications experience will be responsible for ensuring a high level of care is provided to residents and follows company policies and procedures.
The Senior Carer will provide and ensure the highest standards of care are achieved in all areas of the home including relationship-centered care, clinical care, and dementia care.
The Senior Carer will lead and manage their care team ensuring high quality of care and service is provided to all residents at all times.

What you’ll be doing:
1. Taking a lead role in all aspects of care within the home, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care outcomes.
2. Supporting the Management team with the supervision, appraisal, and performance management of the care team, assisting colleagues to achieve their potential.
3. Providing hands-on care and support to residents, including assistance with personal care, mobility, and mealtime support.
4. Building meaningful relationships with residents and their families to ensure a person-centred approach to care.
5. Collaborating with the care and nursing teams to ensure high-quality care delivery.
6. Assisting in the coordination and engagement of activities to promote residents' well-being.
7. Monitoring and recording residents' physical and emotional well-being.
8. Supporting and inspiring the care team, ensuring all team members attend necessary training and apply the learning in the workplace.
9. Administering medication where trained to do so.
10. Acting in a professional manner at all times with residents, visitors, and staff.
Experience
What we ask in return:
1. Experience in care, with previous supervisory experience preferred.
2. QCF Level 3 or a willingness to work towards this qualification.
3. Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and support others.
4. Energetic, motivated, and caring individual with a positive mindset.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
8. Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential.
