We're pleased to be working with a housing association in the East of England who are looking for a temporary maintenance surveyor to support the team for 6 months. Joining a small team and supporting the Contracts Manager and other surveyors, you'll be travelling across the region to inspect social housing properties.
Your new role
As a Maintenance Surveyor, you'll be carrying out stock condition surveys on social housing properties, inspecting and diagnosing repairs issues and reporting on general condition of the properties. You'll be on site for a large part of the week surveying properties with the rest spent from homepleting the reports. Most of the properties will be in the region, but there may be a requirement to travel further afield on occasion. You will also be dealing with some responsive repair issues, diagnosing any issues and then managing the remedial work with a contractor. You will also likely get involved in some damp and mould surveying work and void properties.
What you'll need to succeed
As a Maintenance Surveyor, you'll have experience of surveying social housing properties,pleting both stock condition surveys and managing responsive/planned maintenance issues. You'll need to have a driving licence and access to a car as you'll need to travel to properties across the region.
What you'll get in return
We expect this will be a 6 month contract. You'll receive an hourly rate of up to £35 per hour gross/Umbrella. You'll have the opportunity to flexibly, the majority of your time will be spent visiting properties with some time in the office and the rest from home whenpleting your reports.
