The Role
We are currently recruiting for DNA Reporter to join our fantastic teams at our sites based in Birchwood Park, Culham, Midlands or Wakefield. As a DNA Reporter you will be responsible for the interpretation and reporting of DNA profiling results, to include comparisons of DNA profiles from crimestains with reference (known) profiles, provide statistical evaluations and will engage with the National DNA Database (where required). You will take ownership of a case and will be responsible for the production of written outputs to include DNA Results Tables and Forensic Reports. The successful candidate will contribute to the success of the team by completing all set tasks detailed within their Key Performance Indicators set by the line manager.

Due to the highly sensitive nature of the work, applicants should note that security clearance is required for this role. To gain security clearance you must have five years continuous residency in the UK. Security clearance is undertaken by a third party to police personnel vetting standards (NPPV/3 and SC), as such any criminal convictions may prevent you from gaining security clearance. Selection Process and Start Dates
Interviews/ assessment centres will take place between 25th November and 13th December and will require in-person attendance at one of our sites. Successful candidates will be expected to commence employment with EFS by the end of January 2025.
Due to the nature of the work we undertake on our EFS Midlands site, for employees based at EFS Midlands or likely to attend EFS Midlands as part of their role you must inform us if you come into contact with any firearms or ammunition through work or any other reason as there will be precautions you will need to take in order to enter the premises. This also applies to persons involved in clay pigeon shooting, and those who regularly use any cartridge based tools such as nail/stud guns. Please provide details on your application.
