At our Preston site we are seeking to recruit a Quality Assurance Supervisor who will be responsible for supporting the Technical Managers. Reporting to the site Head of Technical, this position will play an integral part in ensuring our customer service and products is the highest standards. As a QA Supervisor, you are responsible for auditing the product at stages of completion on the production line to ensure that it meets the standards expected by the customer and consumer. The candidate must have strong organisational and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail. To support the QA Manager with the coordination, communication and control of the teams’ activities To develop and action documented site quality procedures and schedules to meet all legislative, customer and company requirements for Health and Safety and Food Safety, including but not limited to HACCP, Food Safety Act and BRC Reporting to the QA Manager for direct hands-on supervision of all technical activities on site including but not limited to factory, machine and environmental Support Technical team with complaint management and investigations to influence a site wide focus. Establish and maintain quality specifications for all raw and finished goods Identify and manage product and facility quality issues. Perform root cause analysis and develop robust preventive measures. Work closely with the Operations team to facilitate consistency in product quality Develop and maintain thorough working knowledge of applicable regulations, policies and good practices related to facility. Identify opportunities to improve product and process quality, consistency, and performance. Ensure product consistently meets or exceeds performance criteria. Assist in the development of new products and processes. Previous experience in the food industry experience preferred / meat knowledge The application of manufacturing standards, GMP, food safety, health and safety and legal requirements Interpersonal skills including teamwork, listening, influencing, coaching and feedback. Planning, organising and prioritising workloads. Proficiency in MS Office applications Demonstrates sound technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills Proven, reliable self-starter, able to work effectively with minimal supervision Ability to successfully partner with team members and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds Thrive and excel in a fast paced, demanding environment Desirably 2 years’ experience working in a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
