Work Pattern: 4 on 4 off and Monday-Friday available
Shift Pattern: Nights (22:00-06:00)

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
* To directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area
* To supervise, implement, and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence
* To ensure current processes established on Work Instructions and trainings on Excellence School
* Implement actions as directed to reduce or eliminate health and safety related risks
* Report and investigate incidents within the workplace and respond to or escalate issues of non-compliance to safety regulations and procedures
* Update daily resource planning for next shift, based on latest volume and volume profile information
* To track and trace orders using a digital in-house tracking software system, ensuring that records are maintained and kept at optimum level
* Have clear understanding of Objectives & KPIs applicable to your position and to your team

* Previous and practical experience as a First Line Manager/Team Leader/Supervisor within a logistics environment is essential
* Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices
* Previous experience of preparation and distribution of volume orders
* Proven experience of managing a team and leading by example
* Excellent communication skills at all levels - Verbal and written
* Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages
* Ability to manage change processes
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise, and train direct reports
