We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Engineer to join our team, supporting a new origination platform for structured lending, as we integrate nCinco into our technology stack. This platform will streamline due diligence, applications, and management processes, revolutionising how we handle major projects and complex loans.
This role offers a chance for a skilled engineer to deepen their domain expertise in banking and collaborate with a dynamic team of engineers, using Agile methodologies to fundamentally change the way we build and maintain systems at Shawbrook. You’ll be an advocate for best in class engineering standards and maintain a strong focus on product delivery, creating simple, clean and well documented code. Responsibilities:
* Utilise best practices to perform operational support, enhancements, bug fixes as needed to the Salesforce.com platform.
* Perform configuration and customisation of the Salesforce.com platform.
* Work with the QA team, to help create automated tests to ensure the quality of the software.
* Participate in backlog refinement sessions to understand business requirements and take responsibility for implementing the most appropriate solution.
* Utilise engineering best practices and design principles, bearing in mind non-functional requirements around performance and security.
* Work with the support team to assist with deployments and monitoring of services in production.
* Document details of system amendments/enhancements in both your code comments and our online documentation system.
* Design and build high-performance, reusable, and reliable Apex code with best practices.
* Write test classes for the class that you develop and ensure more than 80% code coverage.
* Follow all standard operating procedures and maintain updated ticketing for events, incidents, requests, changes, problems, etc.
* Proactively engage on continuous improvement efforts for application design, support, and practice development efforts.
* Provide technical assistance and end user troubleshooting for bug fixes, enhancements, and “how-to” assistance.
* Act as a point of escalation for Service Desk and NOC ticketing for advanced issue resolution.
The Person
* Software engineering skills with Force.com Platform (Apex, VisualForce, SOQL, Unit Testing).
* Experience in administration setup, e.g., managing users, security controls, and data as well as creating roles, profiles, and reports.
* Experience in designing custom objects, custom fields, picklists, page layouts, workflow, approval processes, validation rules, custom tabs, reports, dashboards, and email generation according to application requirements.
* Experience with Agile development methodologies.
* Experience with web services (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML, etc.).
* Any experience of working with nCino, or building SAAS platforms will be advantageous.
