OFSTED Registered Manager - New 3-Bed EBD Children's Home
Location: Bury
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Bonuses
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead a brand-new three-bed children's home in Bury, supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the OFSTED registration process and ensure the home meets all regulatory requirements
* Recruit, train, and develop a strong staff team to provide high-quality care
* Develop and implement policies, procedures, and care plans in line with OFSTED standards
* Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times
* Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure smooth operations
* Build and maintain relationships with external agencies, including local authorities and OFSTED
* Drive continuous improvement with the goal of achieving a GOOD or OUTSTANDING OFSTED rating
Essential Criteria:
To be eligible for OFSTED registration as a Children's Home Manager, you must meet the following requirements:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards this - funding provided)
* At least two years of experience working in a residential children's home within the last five years
* At least one year of experience in a supervisory or management role in a residential childcare setting
* Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and OFSTED's Social Care Common Inspection Framework
* Ability to meet the "fit person" requirements for OFSTED registration, demonstrating good character, competence, and sound financial standing
* Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Desirable Criteria:
* Previous experience as a Registered Manager in a children's residential setting
* A track record of achieving GOOD or OUTSTANDING OFSTED ratings
* Experience in setting up or registering a new children's home
* Strong recruitment and team-building experience
