Kibble is Scotland’s specialist provider of services for at-risk children and young people. By providing a range of integrated services, we help build positive futures for children and young people aged 5 plus, with complex social, emotional and educational needs.
Job Purpose:
To undertake, individually or as part of a team, the cleaning of designated areas within units and services run by the Centre to ensure that they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition. This will include toilet and shower areas. On occasion, the postholder will be required to work within a kitchen environment.
Main Duties:
1. Cleaning, washing, sweeping and vacuum cleaning of designated areas (including toilet and shower areas), using powered equipment as appropriate.
2. Emptying of litter bins.
3. Polishing and dusting of designated areas and associated fixtures and fittings.
4. Cleaning kitchen and dining areas, washing up and some basic food preparation as required.
5. Maintaining high standards of hygiene and health and safety within the Domestic Assistant’s designated area.
6. Other duties as required by the Domestic Team Leader.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Previous cleaning experience within a similar environment is desirable.
2. Clean and tidy appearance.
3. Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
4. Driving Licence (desirable).
