Role: Senior Mechanical Services Designer
Employment Basis: Fulltime
Location: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire
Our client, a mechanical services engineering company specializing in the design and installation of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Water services, and Fire Protection of buildings nationwide in the retail, leisure, and commercial sectors, is looking to add enthusiastic Mechanical Services Design Engineers to their expanding team due to their thriving reputation within the industry.

Duties & Responsibilities:
* Responsible for all aspects of the design of mechanical services systems including ductwork, pipework, drainage sizing and layouts, plant and terminal selection, plant room design, maintenance access, and requirements, all within the dictates of the relevant specifications, codes of practices, and statutory regulations.
* Preparation of fully coordinated designs from initial feasibility or specification stage through to construction phase ensuring compliance with industry standards and building regulations.
* Use of AutoCAD 2D and Revit 3D.
* Use of Hevacomp thermal modeling software.
* Responsible for the company's reputation and client base through presentation, behavior, and professionalism.
* Responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and growth of the company design standards.
* Act as ambassadors for the company in all external communications and interactions.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and be a positive role model in the office.
* Review and approve junior staff's design documents, calculations, specifications, and external company communications.
* Oversee multiple large design projects simultaneously ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery.
* Act as a point of contact for client and stakeholder communication, alongside relevant KAMs where applicable.
* Collaborate with other departments such as the operations team to optimize project execution.
* Positively participate in business development activities, providing ideas for and driving innovation.
Requirements:
* Technical knowledge of HVAC engineering processes is vital.
* Qualified to HND level or higher preferred.
* Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office applications and design software tools - AutoCAD and Hevacomp preferred.
* Well-developed presentation skills.
* Strong time management capabilities.
* Proactive, enthusiastic personality.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* An excellent eye for detail, taking pride in your work.
