Maintenance Coordinator - Aberdeen (Hybrid)
The Role
The MC reports to and works closely with the Maintenance Team Leader and the Contracts Manager to assist in achieving business, budgetary, technical, and applicable contract deliverables. The role involves managing the offshore HVAC and Refrigeration Technicians, supporting all HVAC/R maintenance and Modular Door activities across the assets, processing material requests and material procurement, planning offshore work scopes, and providing clients with technical and administrative support. This role includes hybrid (3 remote days) and occasional offshore travel.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide technical support to field engineers/technicians on daily maintenance activities.
2. Problem solve and provide solutions to faulty, ageing, and obsolete equipment.
3. Input to offshore planning and resource scheduling.
4. Liaise with key clients to educate and inform them of maintenance activities.
5. Assist in the creation of work-scopes for offshore technicians and ensure they are fully briefed.
6. Review trip reports, daily logs, and compile technical reports and client recommendations.
7. Source and purchase HVAC materials and equipment.
8. Deal with urgent heli-freight requests including sourcing materials and arranging heli-freight authorization.
9. Use IFS (Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software) to record all data related to contracts.
10. Interrogate client databases to extract information to schedule maintenance trips and resolve technical issues.
11. Liaise closely with stores personnel where materials are expected to arrive.
Requirements
Essential
1. Ideally have a technical background in HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
2. A team player with excellent communication skills.
3. Be self-motivated, client-focused, able to work unsupervised, and use initiative to resolve problems.
4. Commercially aware.
5. Willing to travel offshore if required.
6. Demonstrate a personal commitment to QHSE.
7. Proficient with all Microsoft Office packages.
8. Hold a full UK Driving licence.
Desired
1. Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working in an offshore environment.
2. Broadly knowledgeable of HVAC&R components and spares.
3. HNC (SCQF level 6 or 7) or N/SVQ level 2/3 in HVAC, mechanical, electrical, or building services engineering.
4. Good working knowledge of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) e.g., Maximo, SAP, etc.
5. Basic knowledge of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems.
6. City & Guilds 2079 level 2 award in F-Gas and ODS regulations including industry experience.
7. Valid BOSIET, MIST & OGUK medical.
