We now have an opportunity for a Project Accountant on an 18 month Fixed Term Contract to support our Fit For the Future transformation programme, alongside the Financial Strategy.
This role will require 1-2 days in the office each week depending on business needs.
Background
In this key position you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of our 'Fit for the Future' transformation programme. You will prepare and deliver accurate financial analysis and reporting to programme leads. You will also provide 'cost to serve' analyses along with preparing and monitoring project budgets and identifying areas for cost savings. With excellent attention to detail, you will ensure that appropriate financial controls are implemented, reporting on identified weaknesses or breaches.

1. Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CIPFA)
2. Experience of project accounting, and detailed financial analysis
3. Experience of presenting financial analysis to mixed audiences
4. Experience of delivering outputs to multiple stakeholders to strict deadlines
5. Experience of process review tools and managing associated workflows
6. Basic knowledge of social housing activities
7. Basic knowledge of housing finance, and the Housing SoRP
8. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
9. High standard of written and verbal communication
10. Well-organised with a keen eye for detail and excellent analytical skills
When and where you'll be doing it
You will enjoy a 37-hour working week and earn an annual salary of circa £54,395 per annum dependent upon your knowledge, skills and experience.
