Are you a credit risk analyst with experience developing and operating credit risk strategy and activities in line with changing market conditions?
Can you challenge existing credit risk processes, solve complex problems, and drive adaptability with emerging credit risk management trends?
We are looking for someone to join our team in Manchester and support the operation and development of credit risk management activities for SEFE’s SME market.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
1. Prepare and present credit risk analysis, including counterparty Credit Application Requests and Portfolio analysis.
2. Produce detailed counterparty Credit Application Requests, incorporating a detailed financial analysis and a full appraisal of all credit risk factors.
3. Ensure all credit applications processed, and the associated reporting is conducted with full compliance to policy.
4. Monitor the credit risk environment and macro-economic trends.
5. Manage and contribute to projects with a focus on improving internal business processes.
6. Review SEFE Energy Credit policy – proactively identifying opportunities for mitigating credit risk whilst allowing for managed growth.
7. Collaborate with commercial teams and customers, to resolve issues and identify solutions that enable credit facilities to be approved.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
You’ll have significant experience in a role focusing on credit risk/financial analysis, and a strong understanding of credit risk management practices, policies, and frameworks, ideally gained in the energy, financial or retail sector. You will also demonstrate the following:
1. Strong analytical and organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in everything you do.
2. Excellent interpersonal skills, able to deal effectively with queries and build relationships with internal and external parties.
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate complex issues to a wide variety of stakeholders.
4. The initiative to propose solutions and act independently, as well as the confidence to effectively challenge the status quo.
5. Ability to prioritise conflicting activities and deliver results under pressure.
6. Proven ability to assess complex problems and deliver solutions.
7. Proficient in Excel, data analytics / reporting / modelling experience, and knowledge of Python would be an advantage.
