The Mechanical Engineer will be a key member of this growing team, responsible for the design and engineering of a range of mechanical mechanisms, electromechanical and hydromechanical systems, and their associated bearing systems. Considering the leaps forward in maritime projects, these will not be basic by any means; they are expected to deal with huge loads, inclement weather conditions, and be adaptable to various tolerances.
As a talented Mechanical Engineer, you will be highly experienced with the design of mechanical systems for use in high-performance situations or heavy-duty precision. You will be able to devise reliable and capable on-board systems that will be produced within stringent cost and time requirements, but also easily adaptable to work with a wide range of control systems.
Degree qualified to the highest level, your experience will have ideally come from a high-performance maritime, automotive, or heavy-duty precision background, giving you a strong understanding of working on highly innovative projects and a keen eye for innovative design projects. Strong experience in Parametric modelling & FEA codes, along with a proven track record of taking design from concept to delivery in a high-pressure environment.
