Hiring Manager - Lorna Kerr/Richard Hepburn Closing Date - 30/10/24 Remote (UK) with travel predominately on the East Coast and borders of Scotland The Opportunity As a BDM with Millar & Bryce / Landmark Scotland you are required to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting appropriate solutions and services to Customers. As part of the role, you will also be required to prospect for new Customers by networking, cold calling or other means of generating interest from potential Customers. You must then plan persuasive approaches and presentations that will convince potential Customers to do business with Millar & Bryce or our growing portfolio of products and services from Landmark Scotland. Specifically, whilst the Business Development Managers will be able to work with customer contacts across all touch points with Millar & Bryce to support Landmark Scotland growth there will be a need to work with other customer segments (Estate Agents, Surveyors) providing professional services into the property market in Scotland. It is the BDMs responsibility to develop the pipeline of new business coming into Millar & Bryce and Landmark Scotland. This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide, and of the company’s competitors. The role will involve: Managing the account portfolio to achieve growth targets. Developing an in-depth understanding of the customers’ needs and maintain an excellent working relationship in regard to existing products and new sales. Researching, prospecting and building relationships with new clients and turn this into increased business. Cold calling as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. Identifying potential clients and the key decision makers/influencers within the Customer’s organisation. Using relevant data and intelligence from the data warehouse, other internal analysis or external systems to improve the quality of sales engagements. Developing long term profitable relationships with customers to ensure full growth potential. Providing regular and accurate reporting on key sales activities to the Sales Director. Ensure Salesforce records for accounts, prospects, leads and opportunities are maintained effectively and that all meetings and calls (whether in person, via Teams or ‘phone) are recorded Providing feedback on products, the market and competitor activity. Identifying business opportunities and coordinate customer feedback. Assisting in the investigation of market value of potential new products and services which provide solutions to customers and ensure successful market penetration including investigating, testing and prototyping. About You You will have a professional services background in sales and account management with exceptional negotiating and influencing/persuading skills. Experience or an understanding of the property market would be an advantage. You will also have/be: Evidence of achieving structured revenue growth from a portfolio of clients The ability to structure effective and cohesive client focussed proposals The ability to prepare and deliver persuasive presentations Excellent spoken and written communication skills Sound understanding of technology including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, bespoke systems etc. Salesforce or other leading CRM system experience preferred.
