The Company:
You will be a pivotal part of the successful Grounds Maintenance Team in this industry leading landscaping contractor. They are renowned for the quality of their site maintenance and delivering exceptional client service.
During the winter you will co-ordinate the delivery of the companies Winter Services, primarily gritting, presenting an opportunity to earn substantial additional income, plus additional Bonuses.
The Job:
You will have responsibility for a portfolio of client properties, predominantly office, retail and industrial parks across the North East (NE and SR Postcodes) including Northumberland and Tyneside. You will both ensure that their open spaces and garden landscapes are maintained to the highest standard and develop the area, finding new contracts and account partners. You will have responsibility for the financial performance of your contracts and reporting results to the Director. You will lead, manage and motivate between 10 and 15 teams of experienced maintenance operatives working on both a static and mobile basis. You will implement a positive health and safety culture and constantly strive to improve efficiency and the utilisation of resources.
The Person:
You will currently be working in Grounds Maintenance as an Assistant Contracts Manager or Contracts Manager and have at least 3 years’ experience.
* An effective Team Leader with demonstrable operations management experience
* Professional, proactive and assertive in your approach, with excellent Influencing and Communication skills
* Commercial acumen including accurate cost control, efficient procurement, production of timely valuations, pricing of variations and compensation events.
* An understanding of the practical, technical, financial and qualitative requirements of a contract.
* Understand Health and Safety / ISOH compliance
* Full UK driving licence
