Legal Project Manager - £75k+ with Decent Benefits Package
Location: Any UK Office (London, Milton Keynes, Edinburgh, Glasgow)
Hybrid Working | Flexible Environment | Client-Facing Role
If you're stuck in a role that no longer challenges you, and you're ready to put your project management skills to the test in a dynamic, client-facing legal environment, this could be the fresh start you're looking for. If you love transforming complex legal challenges into well-structured, strategically executed plans, then keep reading, this role might be just what you need.
The Role
The legal industry is shifting, clients want more efficiency, better risk management, and smarter solutions. That’s where you come in. I'm looking for a Legal Project Manager to join my clients growing Legal Project Management (LPM) team to help deliver complex, high-stakes projects with precision and confidence.
You’ll work alongside Partners, Associates, and clients, making sure legal matters are handled seamlessly from start to finish. You’ll have a real impact, not just behind the scenes but in front of clients, guiding them through the process and making sure their needs are met with smart, strategic solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading project delivery - Overseeing legal projects across different practice areas, especially litigation and eDisclosure. Think governance, budgets, risk management, reporting - you’ll handle it all.
* Building relationships - This isn’t a back-office PM role. You’ll be working closely with clients, legal teams, and business departments to ensure smooth delivery.
* Bringing structure to complexity - Defining scope, setting up governance, keeping an eye on financials, and making sure things stay on track (and on budget!).
* Optimising the way they work - Identifying where things can be done better, whether it’s processes, technology, or resource management.
* Sharing knowledge - Supporting teams with tools, templates, and legal tech systems that make their lives easier.
* Being the glue - Collaborating with teams like Business Development, Innovation, Finance, and IT to improve overall efficiency and delivery.
What They’re Looking For
* A background in legal project management within a law firm is ideal, but the team values diversity, so if you have the right legal project management exposure from another sector, they’re open to hearing from you (law firm, Big Four, NHS, finance - it’s all relevant!).
* A knack for building relationships and managing stakeholders at all levels. This is a role that's very focused around this area, so consultancy exp is fab.
* Someone who can balance big-picture thinking with impeccable attention to detail.
* Strong budgeting and financial tracking skills (you don’t have to be an accountant, but numbers should make sense to you!).
* Confidence in using tech and tools - MS Office is a must, and any legal tech exposure is a bonus.
* A natural problem-solver who can think strategically and isn’t afraid to challenge assumptions.
The Team & Culture
You’ll be joining a collaborative, friendly and high-performing team led by an experienced professional with a strong background in consulting and leadership. The team has a mix of backgrounds, from Big Four consultancies to legal and public sector experience. They're keen to bring in fresh perspectives, so if you’re coming from outside the traditional legal world but have the right skills, they'd still be interested to speak with you.
The Work Setup
* Hybrid working – A mature, flexible environment where you’re trusted to get the job done. Expect to be in the office around 2-3 times a month, depending on project needs.
* A role with impact – This isn’t a tick-box PM job. You’ll be shaping how legal services are delivered and making a real difference for clients.
