The post holder is responsible for: 1. To support the Head of Medicines Management (HOMM) in developing the specialist clinical pharmacy service to wards and community team, in line with local and national standards and policies, ensuring the safe, clinical, and cost-effective use of medicines and staff resources. 2. To deliver specialised pharmaceutical advice within their area of clinical specialism to other healthcare professionals, including participation in multidisciplinary and governance meetings. 3. Support other healthcare staff in meeting risk management by highlighting risk to HOMM, financial management and clinical governance responsibilities around the use of medicines. 4. To undertake clinical supervision, mentoring and ward-based assessments of placement and work experience student, medicines management technicians and pre-registration pharmacists and to supervise and manage other pharmacy staff. 5. To carry out clinical pharmacy audit and practice research in conjunction with the Head of Medicines Management and to review First Community policies and procedures. 6.
