We require a passionate person with a deep understanding of the ways and knowing of all students.
The successful applicant will:
1. Demonstrate a passion for working with children.
2. Demonstrate a capacity to work as an LSO supporting teaching staff, working collaboratively with classroom teachers to implement learning tasks to meet the needs of children with a range of learning difficulties.
3. Demonstrate a willingness and capacity to work with students with learning and/or social-emotional challenges, providing support to individuals or small groups, being resourceful and using own initiative if required.
4. Possess a high level of patience and emotional maturity in order to manage students with significant levels of learning or behavioural challenges.
5. Demonstrate an understanding of the work of Catholic schools and a willingness to actively contribute to a range of school activities.
6. Be prepared to assist with toileting and other health needs.
7. Possess a deep understanding of positive behaviour management strategies and have experience in working with students with high behavioural needs.
