Our Testing Center plays a crucial role in ensuring a fair and conducive testing environment for all. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Testing Coordinator.
This position administers and proctors tests in a controlled environment, and is responsible for ensuring accuracy and integrity of the testing process. This position calls for strong attention to detail and strict adherence to testing protocols and policies, while maintaining a courteous attitude toward students and the public. In addition, the coordinator must maintain a high level of confidentiality and security regarding test results and testing materials.
Part-time – 19 hours/week
Specific duties include:
• Administers and proctors national standardized tests, including CLEP, PRAXIS, ACT, and others
• Administers and proctors placement tests for prospective and current students
• Coordinates Assessment Day testing ( ETS Major Field tests) each fall and spring semester
• Schedules and proctors individual tests for students, in close collaboration with faculty
• Acts as liaison with testing companies ( ETS, College Board, etc.) to ensure proper adherence to testing protocols and to receive latest updates to testing software or procedures
• Ensures an appropriate testing environment at all times while testing is conducted
• Arranges for additional proctors as needed
• Collaborates with Disability Services if testing accommodations are needed
• Orders needed tests or testing supplies in a timely fashion.
REQUIRED : High school diploma, strong organizational skills, experience in a tightly-controlled working environment. Must be willing to be trained and certified to administer national standardized tests. Must have basic computer skills and be able to troubleshoot common problems.
Some college strongly preferred. Courteous demeanor, ability to deal with potentially difficult situations/people. Self-starter who can work with little supervision.

General clerical work and communication via email requires keyboarding. Currently the office environment does not have a standing work station, so most hours would be spent sitting behind a computer. Some files and testing materials may need to be moved by the position, requiring light lifting.
