Day to day of the role:
* Deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons to students aged 11-16.
* Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
* Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
* Maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and homework.
* Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by school policy.
* Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and whole school training events.
* Plan and prepare courses and lessons, following the school’s curriculum and teaching guidelines.
* Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes a passion for Geography.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Excellent subject knowledge in Geography.
* Proven ability to motivate students and achieve excellent results.
* Strong organisational and ICT skills.
* Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team and to lead effectively.
* A passion for Geography and the ability to inspire and share this with young people.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
