Roxel is an Anglo-French company that designs, develops, and manufactures a range of solid propellant rocket motors for use in tactical missiles. Its operations are spread across several sites in the UK and France, with an annual turnover of about £100M and nearly 700 staff. The UK operations are entirely based at Summerfield, Kidderminster, where we have a permanent vacancy for a Logistics Process Operative.
The role of Logistics Operative is focused on working with both inert and energetic material stores on a day-to-day basis. Control of goods received and management of all outbound materials according to daily, weekly, and/or monthly schedules is essential. Working closely with the MRP team, cell management, and other functional department leads to ensure all goods and materials are delivered to the right place at the right time.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a consistent approach and time management skills. Key to this role is accepting and rejecting deliveries throughout the site, and you will need to work to a high level of accuracy, with attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

* Monitor all kitting documents and ensure compliance with the operational plan.
* Load and unload delivery vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck.
* Check for damaged or missing items, sorting stock for storage in the warehouse.
* Take goods to the appropriate storage space.
* Keep a careful record of stock on the warehouse management system for quick location.
* Operate a forklift truck to move and rearrange stock, ensuring that products are stored safely (especially chemicals and energetic material) and labelled correctly.
* Kit orders from the storage space and bring them to the kitting bay for transportation as required.
* Ensure orders are packaged and labelled correctly to prevent returned orders or damaged goods.
* Organise transfers and load goods onto delivery vehicles.
* Ensure Health and Safety standards are upheld and communicated throughout the site.
* Additional responsibilities and projects as requested by the business.
* Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) are accurately adhered to, ensuring data accuracy at all times.
* Any other reasonable requests.
