The role : Facade Design Manager Ardmore's Landmark Facade Division is on the rise, celebrating a successful period of growth with projects that will leave an indelible mark on London. Now, we're inviting a dynamic Facade Design Manager to join our team and be part of this thrilling journey. In this role, you will: Develop cutting-edge design solutions for our recladding division. Assist in crafting the Design Responsibility Matrix (DRM). Lead the development of the Design Risk Assessment (DRA) and contribute to ongoing Technical Audits. Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to create design specifications, ensuring compliance with ER and statutory requirements. Dive into the client's brief, ERs, specifications, and drawings, ensuring seamless project execution and assisting in resolving discrepancies. Play a pivotal role in site QA, ensuring adherence to ERs, and orchestrating technical staff attendance for control sample sign-offs. We're Looking For: Proven experience in facade/curtain wall design, either from an architectural consultancy or main contracting background. Proficiency in AutoCAD software for drafting, delivering shop drawing packages, and architectural tender drawing packages for facade/curtain wall projects. Strong knowledge of steel, aluminium, and glass, backed by hands-on experience. Expertise in fabrication/assembly drawing. Architectural Technology Degree/Construction Related Degree/HND. Recladding experience is highly desirable.
