As a SEN specialist school, SEN experience is preferred, but a willingness to support education to a variety of young people with additional needs is key.
The ideal Secondary SEN Teacher will:
* Have experience teaching KS3/KS4 students preferably in SEN settings.
* Be adaptable and compassionate, catering to a range of learning needs.
* Use a variety of teaching strategies to support individual student progress.
* Be comfortable working in specialist SEN environments, including ASD, SEMH, and PMLD settings.
* Be able to build strong relationships with students and staff.
Secondary SEN Teacher requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised in the UK.
* Experience working with secondary-aged students, SEN experience an advantage.
* Ability to travel for work in Canterbury.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A patient, empathetic approach with a commitment to student development.
