Group Facilitator - Service User Network (SUN)

We're looking for dedicated professionals for key clinical roles in the SUN service. You'll play a crucial part in the delivery and ongoing development of this supportive group-based service, co-facilitating sessions alongside Core Professional Facilitators and Lived Experience Facilitators.
What You'll Be Doing:
1. Facilitating Groups: Deliver a mix of face-to-face and online SUN groups, with sessions taking place at various locations across Berkshire. The successful candidate will help to create a safe and welcoming space where individuals feel empowered to seek help on their terms.
2. Service Development: Contribute to the growth, promotion, and continuous improvement of the SUN Service, ensuring it meets the needs of its members.
3. Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across the SUN Team, which sits within IMPACTT (Personality Disorder Pathway Services), benefiting from comprehensive training, weekly group supervision, and reflective practice sessions.

Main duties of the job
SUN is exclusively a group network, which is aimed at providing ongoing support for SUN members through attending groups as and when they feel they need support. The main duties of this role are to co-facilitate regular SUN groups and to contribute to the development and promotion of the SUN service.
The SUN Team sits within IMPACTT (Personality Disorder Pathway Services) and line management is provided by the SUN Team Manager. The SUN Team of facilitators have specific SUN facilitation training provided at commencement with the service and will attend mandatory weekly group supervision, training and implementation and reflective practice sessions.
There may be opportunities to assist in the delivery of other aspects of the EUPD pathway, including the Managing Emotions Programme.
Additionally, there will be opportunities to develop into a band 7 role which will include further responsibilities such as supervising junior staff, delivering training, and deputising for the service manager as required. Service growth and development will also be at the forefront, and the post holder will be expected to attend networking events and work with both internal and external agencies to support this.
This post will involve travel across all localities in Berkshire. Use of a car for work is preferable.

Job responsibilities
The essential criteria for you to be considered for this role include:
* Diploma or degree level professional qualification such as Nurse, OT, Social Worker, Psychological Therapist or Psychotherapist and registered with relevant professional body.
* Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience of working with people with mental health problems, group facilitation, and supporting people with complex emotional needs or difficulties associated with personality disorders.
* Strong working knowledge of mental health services, peer support and co-production.

Person Specification
Education/Qualifications/Training
* Diploma or degree level professional qualification - Nurse, OT, Social Worker, Psychological Therapist or Psychotherapist
* Registered with relevant professional body
* Evidence of continuous professional development to high standard
* Further relevant qualification in the field of EUPD
* Evidence of teaching and learning
Previous Experience
* Experience of group facilitation
* Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience of working with people with mental health problems
* Experience of working with EUPD
* Experience of supervising students
* Basic computer literacy and ability to use electronic systems
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Thorough working knowledge of mental health problems and their management.
* Ability to carry out high quality assessments and treatment interventions to individuals and groups.
* Ability to work autonomously and set own priorities within caseload management.
* Advanced interpersonal/communication skills.
Additional Requirements
* Hold a clean driving licence and have use of a car for work.
